Default Yeah, I was surprised when I saw it too.. It does not seem as bad on AL (no warning) as regular SG..

and it smells better (not that regular SG smells bad..) I found it at Autozone...

Default True.. It's not bad, but Kaboom is better!!!

just don't let Kaboom get on the brakes, or they will oxidize instantly!!

Default How did you rinse it off?

With a hose? Did you cover your distributor, battery, etc...?

Default Goes on nicer too. . .

I'm not sure if it's the nozzle or the formula, but the Automotive SG seems to come out as more of a foamy spray than the regular stuff, which is great for hard-to-reach spots - it seems to stay put and cling to the surface you spray, rather than running/dripping off.

Default that stuff discolored the chrome off some cheapo faucets of our's.

don't let it sit too long.

I through that bottle in the trash.

thankfully, we're just under 6 months from the house being completed....if all goes as planned, and we can get out of this apartment.

Default with water. I just used a fan spray, and let rip...

I have never covered anything on any engine, never had a problem. Alternators can take water, or else they wouldn't mount them where they do. same for batteries, etc. The only extra care I take is not to spray directly on the air box, or ignition wires/coils. If some water splashes there, that's fine, but I don't put direct spray there.

Default If you have the black anodized boxster ones, the finish is easy to destroy with chemicals....

I have some powercoated ones and they have stood up to some really harsh cleaners.

Default Really? Must have been REALLY cheap..

truth be told, I have only ever used it on wheels, not in the bathroom.. I use SoftScrub w/bleach in the shower, kitchen etc.. we have very hard water, so it needs extra scrubbing..

Agreed. That's what I use. It's very effective. Your engine bay looks great.
