Since its getting cold, and Im running water as my coolant........ :O
How BAD would it really be to use "all make/all model" coolant until i can get my hands on some G12?

I don't have one, other than I like using what Audi says to use...
Though even they changed horses in the middle of the stream, switching to G12+, which according to Audi Junkie is more similar to the MB stuff than the old G12.

The way I see it is there is/was a problem w/G-12.Bear in mind MB cooling parts are the same as Audi
MB not only uses the lightly silicated G-05, along with BMW, Chrysler, John Deere and soe others, but MB puts a sack of silicates in the coolant tank to replenish silicates as they are depleted. Another problem w/G-12 is the plasticizer 2-EHA. Yes, a plasticizer that Asian mfgs specificly ban from their phosphate coolant formulas. Good-bye radiator seams.
