Default Single mass flywheel

What would the disadvantages of getting rid of the DMFW be?? I am going to be doing my clutch as I have a very rough/chattery engagement and I am considering using a single mass sachs kit from ebay. What are the symptoms of a DMFW which is failing??

Single type is not going to be any smoother usually. But your issues could well be the DMFW. Just don't go light weight FW if you want smooth.

I have a single mass from 034 Motorsport. Got it from Axis Motorsport last year. So far I love it. No chatter.. revs quicking than a dual mass with no engine bog. I would strongly suggest it.

Yeah, I am not sure the issues I have are related to the DMFW but I don't want to get a clutch, pull the tranny and then find that I need a FW as well. I figure I am better off going with a single mass setup right off the bat.

There aren't any with the 6-bolt pattern and proper offset that you'd need.

Actually South Bend still offers both seeing that is the flywheels you are talking about. I will give you a good guess who got SB to actually offer it in 17 lbs
