Default Slack in drivetrain? 99 a4 1.8t 5 spped

I just picked up a 1.8t and it seems like a transmission mount was busted as the stick (drivetrain) has a lot of movement when giving / letting off the gas.

The dealership said there was nothing wrong with the mounts.

Is this indicative of this car?

Thanks.

IS this a aftermarket part or can I make the dealership do this?

So you think the snubby would suffice? Or at least help considerably?

Default Yes, I got the snubby first, then the DTS. The snubby made the biggest improvement, but perhaps....

that's just cause it was the one I did first.

The snubby helps more with bucking and rubber banding, but the DTS eliminates moer of the gearshift lever movement that you mentioned.
