Also if coolant temp sensor is bad it will sense the car as colder, thus should run richer right?

Default umm he is saying its pinging out of boost. out of the thousands of cars that have GIAC 18t software

maybe the software installed "differently" on his? let's be realistic here.

Default not necessarily, the voltage reading will be unstable if its cold it will add lots of timing

it could read that its 10 degrees out or 120 and the scary part is it could go back and forth between the two every couple of seconds. it is possible for the green temps sensors to go bad.

Default You mean it will sense its cooler, right, meaning adding fuel to run rich?

How will I know, can VAG detect this?

Default Settle down. See the two question marks in my post? See where it says, "Just a guess..."

I was just trying to be helpful. I don't know everything there is to know about these cars. Since I'd seen it before, I thought it would be worth mentioning.
No, I'm not a GIAC hater. Not at all. Do I think MTM stuff is just as good, if not better? Yeah, depending on the needs and priorities of the driver.

Default I would say you have carbon bulid up in your combustion chamber

time for heavy duty treatment with techron FI cleaner or red line FI cleaner...

run 2 bottles per tank for 2 consecutive tanks... then report back
