Default Slotted rotors opinions....

after reading many archived posts regarding slotted and x-drilled rotors, I would like to now read about peep's personal experiences with slotted rotors. Which pads are using, and have you tried different pads? Which slotted rotors (company and where bought) are you using?
To give a little background on my situation:
I do track occassionally, 4 - 5 times per year.
So I read that slotted is the way to go for my purposes. Now pads: Mintex Reds, EBC's, Hawks...?
Also, wet braking.....do the slotted help in tracking and regular street driving?
thanks.

Default StopTech front / Power Slot rear...

hard to say if they make a diff as the jump form OEM brakes to ST's is pretty substantial in all regards. The rears were done more for looks than anything as I had to replace them and figured I might as well have them match the fronts. I have noticed less wear at the track in the rears since the swap, but that mihgt be do to better pads as while under warranty I used stock pads in back since they were free.

Default ATE powerdisc w/Mintex red box

I like this combo, I would recommend it.

However if you are going to track the car I would suggest that you move up to A8 rotors.

Default A8 rotors will require the A8 upgrade....

I'm not looking to spend that much at this point. Just looking for rotors and pads.
Considering kust getting new OEM rotors with ECS or Mintex pads.

Default ECS slotted/ x-drilled (Brembo made) with Mintex redbox

my wet braking problem is nearly gone, plus the rotors look great. My pads were pretty much fried beforoe I replaced them along with the rotors, so I can't really give an accurate stopping power comparison. However, you might want to go with a more aggressive pad- my Mintex pads stink like hell after a hard canyon run and lose bite when they get hot.
