Default Slotted rotors, which way should slots face?

If the rotors aren't directionally vanned

Just got my A8 slotted rotors/boxster fronts & my S4 rear slotted rotors/calipers

Going to paint them this weekend and will do the install next weekend

Default towards the rear of the car.

if your car is facing the direction in your sig..the drivers side rotor would have a slot that looks like this: /

Default Care to enlighten us?

He said the vanes were not directional. So I'm just a tad confused by your statement.

I think the rotors will only go on one way, but I could be wrong.

right, because all the slots do is give a place for the pad gasses to go..

Default i really dont think it matters, but i faced mine forward...

you can see from the pic that the outer edge of the slot gets completely covered by the pad, where the inner part of the slot is exposed at all times. with the slots facing forwards, the trapped part of the slot (gases and dust) would be driven inward and out during braking. with the slots facing the other way, the gases and dust would be forced outwards and trapped in the slot until they cleared the pad.

blah blah blah...i really dont think it matters.
