so i got a southbend ofe w/ss plate (stg4) installed less than 3mos. ago.
with stock clutch if i tried to engage at approx 3k it always took some time of me holding the clutch down (wouldn't grab right away) to get a smooth transition in 2nd or 3rd gear. almost felt like the clutch was slipping. *** i think this is happening when my revs are higher than what the clutch is trying to engage at, no problem when revs are below or at the rate of speed of the car.***
with the new clutch it grabs harder and that time is reduced, but it still happens and doesn't grab immediately like my brother's 5spd accord lx (2003, sedan, stock clutch). also, if i let the clutch up right away with the new clutch it'll grab HARD right away, but it'll jerk the whole car as if i dumped it.
also, i have clutch chatter even with the oem dmfw. could this be indicative of another problem?
anything else i can do to improve this? will bleeding the clutch cylinder help? in the upper rpms there is no problem whatsoever, grabs hard.

the more so, the hotter it is. However, the clutch doesn't slip in the longer gears even if I suspect it is bust.
Fortunately, if I change gears in the higher rpms then the changes are fast enough.
Let me know what you find out.
Best of luck,
JP
