Default Slow Speed ABS Problem??

Recently, my brakes have been pulsating when coming to a stop or pulling into a parking space. The brakes have all been recently replaced and are in good shape. I have come to the conclusion that it is a problem with an abs sensor. I pulled the ABS fuse and the problem of pulsating brakes disappeared, however, the abs light came on and the brake light starting to flash for good reason. Has anyone else had this slow speed pulsating problem in which no warning lights came on?? Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

yep. BTDT. it is probably a broken ABS sensor or a cracked sensor ring.

Default Not necessarily.

I had this exact problem on my '98 and it was not a sensor or ring, but the actual pump.

Fortunately, it was under Audi Assured still, b/c the part itself was over $1000.

Default depends on your level of skillz

I did my fix for ~300, which was 130 for an ABS sensor that I accidentally broke (doh!) and 150 for a used rear left drive shaft. the fun thing about the abs sensor rings is that they are integral to the drive shaft. I have no idea what labor is on that stuff. Haven't let another person work on my car in something like forever.

Default Very common problem....

It's your abs sensors. They just need to be cleaned. Clean them w/ contact cleaner(radioShack) or rubbing alcohol.
