For a 99.5 2.8 Is it possible to check for a bad snub mount without removing the front end? Can you see it clearly from under the front of the car with the lower splash shield removed?

...but Im not sure what you expect to see. Its a plain jane rubber mount that doesnt move much - so the only way I can see it going bad is by dry rot or something like that.
The snub is one of the best mods you can get, especially for the 2.8...I highly recommend it.

You won't be able to get to it from underneath. The APR website www.goapr.com has instructions on how to install it.
Here is the APR Snub Mount installed with the front end off:

The Snub Mount is behind that rectangular plate underneath the aux fan.

At least this is how it is on my car.

You will still need to disassemble the front of the car per APR's instructions to install it. A timing belt change is the best time to do it. That's when I did it!
