So it appears awe pedals are made for dbw cars... the gas pedal on my 98.5 doesnt fit at all

Default So it appears awe pedals are made for dbw cars... the gas pedal on my 98.5 doesnt fit at all

I remember hearing you had to flatten the pedal but I'm not sure even after I do that if it will fit. Right now the pedal is about an inch short and it looks like crap. I'm also worried that to flatten it the amount I need to, it will probally crack.

Went off on a rant there....is there a way to make the pedal fit well?

Default i dont know if the old pedals much different. i did bend mine a bit on the work bench to the contour

of the pedal so they are on there with the same shape|angle as the pedal. looks good

Default you can make it fit...

i have a 98.5 and have the earlier style pedals. It feels like plastic. You can make take the pedal and bend it flat. Just make sure you drill and tap the hole in the pedal right or the bolts won't thread in right. Take you time.

I had to cut the throttle pedal 2-3" to get it to fit right. Those pedals are a bitch. Worth it...
