So, from APR, I can by the new ecu with credit card, get it, replace it, and send in my old ecu?

Default I dont' think so...WETT is the only one that I am aware of that does that.

APR..when you buy a new ECU..you keep your old one.

Default So then I have to deal with down time.....they should do it though. seems logical. ....

I mean if i don't return the old ecu, then they charge me for it.

It'd make more sense to buy a new ECU and have THAT chipped, then simply keep your original as the spare....

Default the down time is not that bad...

I send mine in on tuesday afternoon. Overnight it to APR, and told them to overnight it back to me. I got it back on Thursday morning. So, we are talking about 48 hrs of down time. Not that bad.
