Default So, how does one know if their control arms are bad?

My A4 has 108k miles and my suspension has always felt loose - H&R coilovers w/ Neuspeed front & rear swaybars.

Default I think it's more of a noise thing

From what I've read, if you hear creaking and other untoward noises coming from the suspension, it's tie rods or control arms going.

You'll hear 'em. Most annoying/embarrassing squeaking/grinding noises from under your car.

Default Well, my rear suspension makes a VERY embarassing squeeking noise...

But that's because my rear way bar bushings need some grease.

Default I have 93K on my car and just had 6, count 'em 6 controll arms...

replaced... I don't track my car, and my car has been maticulously maintained, but I do have harsh salty winters that could be eating the rubber bushings, and ball joints.

I had another control arm replaced last year, so I've had 7 replaced all under 100K miles.

Got my car back today, and it feels like a new car, no squeeks, and no bounces... I can't believe the difference in feel.

I also had my tie rods done (not under warranty the rest was) And my car's a dream
