So I go to use my CD Changer this morning and ...

... nothing happens. Everything else works fine. In dash CD works. I then check the CDC status using the power on while holding down preset #4 and it says "no cdc". So then I go look in the trunk and my CD Changer is there. I press the eject button and that works fine... so it has power.
What could be wrong. I think the head unit lost its coding. I will hook up the VAG-COM tool when I get home tonight. Anyone know how to re-code the Symphony head unit to work with a CD Changer?
Thanks,
Kirk

Since I'm using a PIE interface, which doesn't SNAP into the OEM 13pin cable, it gets jarred and even tho it doesn't come undone, it's like it's not connected at all. I stick my hand behind the CD Changer and fiddle with the cable and bammo, CD changer powers up.
For me it's a power issue, for you that doesn't seem to be the problem, but ya never know. I'd give this a try.

CD Changer Detection
The following is the procedure on how to access the CD changer detection display.
Turn off radio.
While pressing and holding the Preset 4 button, turn on radio.
If you have a CD changer connected and functional, the display shows "CONNECT". Otherwise, it shows "NO CDC". This is a display-only mode. You cannot change any settings.
When you are done, turn off radio, then turn it back on for normal operation.

... and from what I can feel, the connector on the CD Changer is connected. I had the CD Changer installed at the factory and from the factory the connector is held in with a retaining screw (from what I can feel anyhow).
I think I'll check the coding when I get home and if this still dosent solve the problem... off to the dealer I go.
