The stock 2:1 bias center diff only allows for up to 66/33% of torque to be applied to either...
the front/rear in a givin situation.
The 4:1 allows for 80/20 torque split.

update on those washer specs....
upon tearing apart my one-piece the other day at Dave's...only one of those washers is correct to what's actually in the diff. The washer that goes into the center is correct...however the one that goes on the bottom is 1.47mm thick and whatever all the others are for an OD. Also...due to how the "grooves" in the diff case are laid out, the bottom washer that's DU4 coated is not completely flat...one side of it is cut at an angle to lay inside the diff correctly.

Dude, a forum member did not come up with that, they have been doing it for over 20 years, I wrote
about it 4 years ago here. It was old news before most of you had heard about quattro or torsen!

He told me how to do it 10 years ago.
