Would the extra weight of the B6 have anything to do with it?

Default I highly recommend it.

Flushing your brake system with new brake fluid (if it hasn't been changed in the previous 12-18 months) and slightly more agressive pads like the C-Techs will definitely increase your "fun" at and after a track day.

You can easily get turned off from track events if you end up having to spend $300 afterward to put on new rotors and pads. Spend $125 up front for some pads and bleed the old fluid.

I did two track events on the C-Tech/stock combo, and had no issues with the front braking system. I'm upgraded the full brake system because of the overheat/meltdown due to cheap pads in the rear, and realized what *could* happen. I know that I want to do more events in the future... For noobs who aren't sure if they ever want to do a second event, pads and fluid beforehand will almost surely help get them "hooked" as the experience will be fun!!! YMMV, of course. ;-P

Your old rotors are definitely ribbed for her pleasure.

Default Hawk HPSs are not track pads. HP+ are an auto-x/light track pad.

nice fix ;-)

I did the same.

Default Had mintex reds all 4 corners at the Glen...

Had the A8 front upgrade and used mintex Reds on all 4 corners... didn't have a problem. Had upgrade the fluid to Super Blue as well.

I've since upgrade to BIRA 1 upfront using Pagid Blues and still with mintex reds on the rear.. wow talk about braking deep. I was braking near 120 - 130mph down to 30 - 40mph for Poconos full course with no fade what so ever.

Default So true - but since you really should swap pads for the track - it's not too much more work to

do the rotors and TT bracket at the same time.
