Default So if Y2K Audis have Red Dash Lighting, then how did the rumor get started? (More)

Going through the last forum, and came across the following Link. So if the information is correct, and the A4 dash and the rest of the Audi Dash's are red at night, then how did this rumor start in the first place? By the way, hope they don't do Green and Red if that statement was false, last thing I want to see is a Dash that looks like a christmas tree.

Audi Comparo with Dash Lighting Question...

Default All the magazines testing the cars that are MY2000 ...

remarked that the dashes are changing. Specifically, the first test of the A6 4.2 by Road and Track. Also, the TT has the green/white lights in the instrument cluster/gauges.
So, I don't think it is a rumor, but maybe Audi isn't sure what they are doing. However, it is recorded in a print publication that they are doing away with the red dash.
Jon
'96 A4qs

TT's lights aren't green/white....they are red needles with white numerals

I personally love the red lights... it distinguishes Audi's from the rest, and it's sure lot nicer than BMW's faint orange
