So, in like 10 months, will I be able to get a 2000 S4 for around 20k?
My funds are adding up, but I will only have about $22,000 max to spend on the S4. Miles don't matter much, but 6sp is required. Obviously, I will need to get 2000 since those will be the cheapest.
Is it possible that I could get one for around 22k?

Possible, but that'd be the extreme low end of the price scale...
Edmunds says the current TMV on a 2000 S4 is $28.5K, the car might depreciate another $6K in the next year or so, but you're still close to the low end.
