Default so, manual drivers...at an intersection which doesn't require you to stop...

ie: without stop sign or stop light. when making a right hand turn when you have the right of way, what gear are you in? 2nd? 1st? do you brake through the turn and throttle out, or do you throttle through the turn braking before? i'm not saying while spirited driving, just average normal driving.

Default Start your downshift and finish braking before the corner.

Heel toe an little before the corner, releasing the clutch just before entering the corner. Then gently accelerate through.

Default that's what i do, but i noticed that my rpms...

start at around 1200 when i'm letting off the clutch. didn't know if it was bad to be so low, which led me to believe, to get the revs up, the only way without riding the clutch and revving would to be in a lower gear, but i've NEVER done that, didn't know if anyone else did.

Default brake before the turn, accelerate through it

brake in straight lines.

For 90 degree turns that do not require a stop I use 2nd or third depending on certain factors. First is not needed unless I am going full bore trying to beat my best 'lap' time or something.

Default

As long as the car is minimally rolling, you shouldn't have to engage 1st EVER !

Default Always brake/downshift before the turn...

(well, just letting off the brake as I begin the turn) good driving habits aren't just practiced when driving the car hard...I do that all the time. You'll be thankful, when that unexpected surprise catches you off guard on the highway.

Default Sounds like you should be going a little faster through the corner

First gear would be way to low. Second gear should still have your revs around 3k or better.
Are you new to the car and a standard shift?
I am teaching my daughter to drive my car and it sounds alot like what she is going through learning the car.
