Default So, is it normal to have the spark plugs covered in oil?

removed the coil packs, and there's a lot of oil on the plugs... should I be concerned?

btw, timing belt/wp/etc install went well, though it's possible the TB was done before. the WP, however, had not been and the associated belt was about to burst!

I had a drible of oil on mine, but you make it sound like it was filled to the top.

Default the two foremost plugs were coated in it...

the aftmost two were fine.

the spark plug socket had a good coating on it once it removed the first two.

Default can never be too cautious with the timing belt. better to change too often than not enough.

it'd take a lot of extra timing belt jobs before you equalled the cost of a new engine, especially if you're DIYing.

Gasket is $30, takes 20 minutes. DIY!

Default More like 25$ and 2 hours if you're retarded or some of your bolts are covered in grime.

Just buy some sealant from Autozone and the gasket from ECS and do it.
