You just have to know what works in them and what don't. Otherwise you will be stopping right quick to sop up from the ebrake back.

Since it takes up useless space that're just blank buttons anyways. It's a little small but at least it can hold a cup. The only problem is if you spill anything, it goes all over the deck and console, gumming up all the buttons.
The ones by the e-brake are just stupid (which is probably why my car has them.) They get jammed all the time. Even before my ex sat on it causing it to fall into the abyss, it would hold anything but the biggest american fast food chain cups (because they were so gigantic that they wedged themselves in there.) VAG in 1998 didn't realize the significance of cupholders; the more cupholders in a car, the higher the North American sales figures.
Isn't there one that's listed in the FAQ that hangs from the armrest? I might wanna try that one.

IF anything spills it's no where near any vital electronics. Being down relatively low, it's less likely to spill when powering out of a corner...you know what I mean...... Initial D style.
