Doesn't sound encouraging, but then I am told this is normal???

Asphalt silica sand mixture
A mixture of asphalt and silica sand used to fill the cases of electromagnetic and electronic ballasts to dampen sound, protect from moisture, improve heat removal and increase reliability.

The ultimate test is to hook it up, of course...

http://www.advancetransformer.com/resources/glossary.jsp</a

Got my kit yesterday. Looks like the H3 HID bulbs for my aftermarket fogs might not fit. Oh well.

Default I just got the runaround from VVME...

...and am truly afraid at what might show up at my doorstep. I wanted 3000k H7s for my fogs, emailed for a price, paid per their instructions, then they came back with "we need $20 more to ship your item." They have finally honored their quoted price and I have a valid tracking number. Customer service was FAIL, but if the kit is decent it's still a steal!

Default Yup....It looks like the bulbs will be too tall for my Hella Micro DE fogs.

I should just have bought the $700. Micro DE Driving Light HID Kit.

LOL

Default I was kinda expecting a dud, but at their price it's a small risk considering how many kits work.

And I won't get worked up over it, even if it costs me another $35. It's still a deal.

Had to pay an extra $35 for the replacement ballast.
