Less than 10 miles? Because im at 4,100 miles on my 0w-30 gc and in the summer ... which is now, i do alot of 5-6 mile trips, some days only doing 1 or 2 5-6 mile trips, but usually at least once a week reaching full operating temps for the oil, should i change the oil now or wait till 5k? Because I know short trips hurt oil, and ive heard people recommend changing synthetic at 4k if you do alot of short trips.

I used to have a really short commute whereas the car wouldn't even warm up. It sucked.

My car loves the highway miles alot more than it did the no mileage commute that never allowed the oil to reach full operating temp. Oil looks much better now (long commutes)and I still do my changes every 4K.

To me anything under 4 hours is pretty short. Medium would be the 8-12 hour range. 18 -24 is pretty long
