Default Yes you did, and I've not forgotten that.

I do appreciate the offer however I do feel somewhat uncomfortable borrowing a $1650 ECM which I know if I damage in any way I'm going to want to replace to make amends. Maybe if you are here to monitor my use of the ECM but alone I'm not so comfortable.

So I'm left with nothing more than a bitter sentiment to savor for as long as it takes 034's mfg to do whatever. A constant reminder of what is now in retrospect feeling very much like a poor decision. I am not trapped tho, I can afford to rectify this situation with a quick yet expensive phone call. Justification of such a phone call is all that remains to present itself.

Default Phil, how does next thursday night sound?

I'll be in your area for a couple days. Let's see if Carson will come over, too! ;-)

Default I'd like to see it fixed too. Rewiring is the easy part....

eating the cost of another ECU is altogether much more difficult.

Default Yeah.

Think of how many carbon credits I could buy with that kind of money.

YGM too.

Default Meh, 0-60 is overrated....

It's lap times that count.

Default the reason you got your ***** busted in this thread is because these cars have a different purpose

yes, they can be quick, but they were built to perform in a wide range of conditions consistently. Wait until the snow comes down, go out and just drive EASY. You'd be hard pressed to find a road driven on by other cars that's difficult for your A4 to drive EASY on(assuming you have Quattro). Drive it EASY all the time and you'll get very few surprises in bad conditions. It's not about speed, it's about getting to the finish.

Default But yet everyone that owns a quattro

says their car is quick from a dig and that tends to mean they are doing a 0-60 mph sprint.
