Default Soap?
What type of soaps do you use to wash your cars? Is palmolive good?

Palmolive dish soap??? No! Only car soap that doesn't strip wax. I use Meguiar's Gold Class.

Default I use either P21S or Pinnicle Body Wash .... Dishwashing liquid will strip the wax off of your car.
It's ok to use only if you are trying to strip the wax from your car.

which is not a bad thing if you plan on waxing it after washing

It's ok to occasionally strip the wax off, if you wax it immediately after washing.

Default that's true, although if you use polymer type waxes (like Zaino)...
then dish soap can't strip it, but then when you claybar the car, the wax will get stripped. So in my case, I don't even bother trying to strip Zaino with Dawn.
