I believe the Eibach springs are another .75" lower and 20% stiffer than factory sport

Default agreed.

there are definately people here who do know the details. I was just going off of memory from when I did the upgrades on our car. I had the stock suspension and ended up buying a used factory sport suspension for cheap. I don't have any regrets there but I would if I really used this car aggressively. From what I "remember" is that the Eibach springs were the ones that could be ordered through Audi as an UPGRADE to the factory sport suspension that was lower and stiffer. Perhaps the "Pro-Kit" is not what I'm thinking of.

Default Is the assumption that you will keep your current dampers?

You're going to get a lot of confusing feedback here, because most people switch dampers AND springs at the same time. OEM Sport dampers are oil, whereas the popular alternative Bilstein is gas charged.

Having both the OEM Sport and Audi Eibach/Bilstein setup on my '01 2.8 sedan, the OEM sport has a more compliant ride. I believe thats more due to the difference in dampers than spring rates.

I would get the OEM Sport Shocks/Dampers with the OEM Sport Springs.

I suppose I could just put in the OEM Sport Springs and keep the OEM non-sport shocks I have now.

Maybe I should give that a go first? Just trying to save labor on the install as I will have a local shop do it and would rather not do it twice.

Thanks for the onput guys. Keep it coming!

Go with the matched set - OEM sport springs with sport dampers.
