Default spark plug issues

not sure if this happens to anyone else, but...

i noticed the first time i changed my plugs that i was pinging less under WOT. keep in mind i'm in socal with this crappy 91. then, maybe 3 months later, i noticed the pinging again. just for fun, i checked the plugs and 3 of 4 were loose! as in, i could twist them by hand with the socket extension. i was amazed at the improvement after i tightened them to spec.

this was nearly 6 months ago. today i decided to check them again due to some pinging i've experienced lately. plug #1 = LOOSE! and once again i was amazed at the improvement after torquing back to spec.

so, check your plugs. maybe you'll get some extra horsies!!

Are you using a torque wrench to verify the torque? They should be at 22 lb/ft.

Default Mine installed Wednesday were easily loosened this morning.

My tube of anti-seize was dry on Wednesday so I installed them without. Torqued to 22 lb-ft. Removed this morning to put a dab of anti-seize on the threads and it was ridiculously easy to loosen all 4. And here I am worried about galling or seizing (especially with the high temps). Hell, we may end up having to put loctite on these stupid things.
