Default Spark Plug Replacement Problem

I just replaced my plugs with ngks and went out for a test drive. The car idled fine at first but when I gave it some gas around a turn there was a weird stuttering feeling. After the car warmed up I tried to let it rip and the CEL started flashing and then stayed on steady. I limped home and have the car in the garage with the hood up cooling right now.

Did I install the plugs wrong? I didn't have a torque wrench available and used the just tight enough method. Also I was told that the plugs were "pre-gapped" Is that BS? I didn't think the car would go into limp mode because of a mis-gapped plug.

Did I f up the coil packs when I took them out? I didn't disconnect them I just pulled them out. Are you supposed to disconnect them when you take them out?

Of course I'm going to have the car VAG'd as soon as I can, but until that time I want to know what I did. BTW, my car ran decently with my old plugs, no CELs or codes.

Default How exactly do I check the gap on 3 prong plugs?

I have never gapped plugs before. I'm going to have my buddies dad helping me, so do we just make sure all 3 prongs are the same gap? .32 right?
