First of all I want to replace my spark plugs but from what I've searched on here I couldn't find any part numbers for replacement spark plugs. Does anyone have part numbers for a spark plugs for a 2000 1.8T Also is there anything special I need in a plug if my car is chipped. I think I read somwhere about a smaller gap with chipped cars?

...and be prepared to be confused at the number of differing views.
Seriously, there is tons out there.
Bottom line...
There is NO clear 'best' plug for any setup. Hell, people cannot even agree as to what material (copper, iridium, silver, platinum) is ideal. There was a good post recently that argued that cheap copper plugs were your best bet - but needed to be changed as frequently as your oil. There was a post yesterday about a Bosch Platinum plug that was supposedly designed for turbo engines. Silver is apparently the best conductive metal but is only available in a non-resistor plug. The Densu iridium plug for for our heat range needs to be regapped.... Confused yet?
Search for the word 'spark' along with Densu, NGK, Bosch, and Beru.
Gap s/b between .028 and .035.

Yeah I just found a huge thread on the B6 forums here on AW. The guy was talking about copper plugs and all about gapping. Interesting thread, seemed to know what he was talking about. But changing plugs every 5000 miles...I don't know if I'm up for that. I'm guessing the B6 info would be the same for the B5...it's basically the same engine right?

The cheap NGKs are $2 each.
In my experience, the super-duper plugs are only good for about 15k miles, 20k max, on a chipped car.
So you can spend $50 for 4 denso plugs that will last 15k miles, or $32 for 12 NGK plugs that will last just as long, as a bonus, brand new plugs will run better than a Denso plug that has 5k or 10k miles on it. So you can get that fresh spark plug feeling every 5k miles
