Nothing wrong w/ NGK, but I prefer Bosch Platinum +4's personally.

Actually AOA switched to NGKas OEM plugs recently, so is VW. I am using them on my KO4 setup

Default Platinum might be good for your 12v

But not so great on a turbo car. I will only use copper plugs on a turbo car.

Default Most spark plugs come at .040" which is ok for stock boost levels

If your running a chip you want to gap your plugs a little smaller then that, anywhere from .032-.036.

Default I disagree.

One of two recommended spark plugs for DeionDavid's engine is the NGK BKUR7ET according to the Bentley CD-ROM. The recommended gap is .027"-.035". The recommended spark plug on the NGK web site for the '99 A4 1.8t is the BKUR6ET, which is one heat range hotter, with a gap of .032". The T in the part number means the plug has three ground electrodes, making the plug gap unchangeable once the plug leaves the factory. If using a compatible plug with a single ground electrode, then the user should follow the above gap recommendations on a stock engine. If the engine is modified for increased horsepower, decrease the gap .004" for every 50-75 hp. If the ignition is modified for higher output, increase the gap .002"-.005".

Default Go to the store and buy a set of standard plugs for a A4 1.8t

and they will tell you the set gap is .040 and that is what the plugs come as. I would only leave it at that gap when running a stock boost level of 7-10 psi. If you run the gap at .040 while running 1 bar or higher which I have run up to 24psi on a K03, you will find that the spark will flow out and cause misfires. I set all my plugs to .032-.034 never any higher.
