Default I went to a BMW driving day last week and they gave a demonstration of their 4WD 330i

vs the A4 2.8. They constructed a ramp with roller bearings and flat surfaces so only that one wheel could propel the vehicle up the ramp. As the car moved up the ramp the surfaces switched to other wheels to demonstrate the cars ability to transfer power to each wheel. Only five vehicles could climb the ramp. Jeep with quadra drive, Hummer, BMW X5, BMW Xi cars and another I don't remember. The A4 tried and tried but was completely unable to put any sizable power to the right rear wheel. It was a pretty impressive demo.

Default Where do you get the BMW Driving Day schedule?

I'm wondering if they're coming to Boston :-)

At any rate, the MB M-Class can also pass that test. The BMW drivers mentioned it at the X5 Ultimate Driving Experience. They also mentioned that the Audi Quattro *COULD* make it up the same ramp if it had better entry/exit/breakover angles.
