Pat, Really sorry to see this happen. I know that I suggested the Spec to you along with the flywheel.
To clear things up... I have dealt with Paul and David at Spec. Pretty reasonable guys. I bought my whole clutch, pressureplate, and flywheel used from a guy that had 1800 miles on it. I sent it to Spec to get resurfaced, etc and was charged $89 plus shipping.
The flywheel is light, yes... but my setup came with a Stagee 2 clutch, full disc, sprung center. Its very odd going from stock clutch and flywheel with 106,627 miles on it, to a brand new unit. The clutch travel is reduced so much.
I had mine installed Saturday, 6/26 and its great so far. The guy who installed mine didnt put the starter back in right so it was cocked, made a screeching noise. That was fixed today 6/27 and now drives like a dream. Ill let you all know how it is a few weeks from now.

I drove 80 miles since posting on RMCB5, and it seems to feel better than ever now. I'm not saying it's going to stay this way, but I'm not so pessimistic about it any more. Keep your fingers crossed.

Pat, glad to hear that its getting better. Keepus all posted on how it feels. I have rad that some people have waited 500-1000 miles before they have really been able to have a stock feeling clutch, etc with smooth engagement. Most of the noises (from what I have read) have quieted down with time.
