spirited drive and turbo glowing like mad
Was driving home around 12:30 AM at a good pace. When I got home I decided to pop the hood and take a look at the turbo. As usual, my turbo was glowing bright orange, so I let my car cool for about 5 mins or until the turbo stopped glowing. Just wondering how long people let their cars cool with turbo timer or not. I hear two minutes is how long some people let their cars cool, but I know that two minutes wouldn't have been long enough for the turbo to stop glowing. Is it safe to turn off your engine when the turbo is still glowing?

To answer your question....I set my turbo timer for 10 min after our canyon run last night......
I usually have it a 1:30 I just bumped it up to 2:00. Last night though was the hardest I've ever driven my car so I decided to max the T.T. out.
