Default To Sport or not to Sport?

Looking for used a4. I found a couple, and my mom is helping me look but she doesnt have the same priorities i do. She is now trying to convince me that i dont want the sport package cause it bounces around the turns and does not grip turns. I feel she is so wrong she is actually reffereing to the reasons why i would WANT sport package. Please tell me that being in love with the sport package option is a viable opinion. My mom was also told by some guy who worked at a dealer for 2 years that he never sold the a4 with the sport package. I think my mom is very wrong i mean if the car was worse with sport why would it be standard on the s4 . iknow my mom is wrong but i just want to be sure i have support from my fellow AW'ers

Default You'll find no "non-sport" lovers here!

Even in urban environments, the sport suspension still has a comfortable ride. Get it!

Default Get the sport package, it's much more fun to drive.

Also, I think I only counted two periods in your entire post. Run-on sentences are hard to read...

Default Your momm-a is wrong-a

Sport increases grip and absorbs more bounces on turns. It does exactly opposite of what she says.

Everyone agrees that sport is the best bang for the buck in options.

Not true! I love non-sport A4's. I love to kick their butts. :-)

Default Ditto the above. I wished I had the sport package so bad that I got a used sport package...

to put on my A4. (My A4 came with the sport steering wheel.) The difference is very significant. Go test drive both. Actually, let your Mom test drive one with sport suspension without telling her. Point out to her that it doesn't lean as much in turns. You feel like, and you do, have more control. This is much safer. Also, if you are buying used the sport package shouldn't add too much. Many people, including some dealers don't even really know the difference (for example, the dealer your mom talked to who said that he had never sold one. He probable has sold many with out knowing that that option was on the cars.) Good Luck.
