Are the sport springs from Clairs really Eurosports?

I spoke with someone from ClairsParts a short time ago. He told me that the sport springs they offer are not the real "Eurosports" because the Eurosports are not legal in the states (they do not meet DOT regulations). When I asked whether or not they were stiffer than the OEM sport springs, he advised that that was not necessarily true. He did say they drop the car 25-30mm from OEM non-sport. What are the springs that Clairs is offering and who manufactures them.

these are made by Eibach for Audi to Audi's specifications and come in a box labeled w/ "Votex". These are not the same as US OE Sport springs since they visibly (and by tape) lower the car more than the 20 mm that the sport springs do. Whether these are "real" Audi EuroSports is unknown to me since I've never checked part numbers over in Europe. I know they aren't Eibach Pro-Kit springs either.

I am not sure what exactly the "Eurosport" is supposed to be (I think folks mean an Ausi spring lower than the US OE Sport, perhaps available from the factory in European delivery A4) but these Clair Parts Express Audi-Eibach springs do lower the car about 1/2" (or more) than the US OE sport springs. They feel a bit firmer as well.
I just put a set in this past weekend and have the wounds and photos to prove it.

As I posted below, in Germany AUdi sells a quattro GmbH suspension package that lowers 30 mm from non-sport, and also includes firmer struts, "revised elastokinematics" and "more direct steering." All for 3300 DM including ten-spoke 17" and 225/45. (Not sure whether that is the price of the parts or the differential vs. stock trim.) What I want to know is whether the so-called Eurosports are the same as these quattro Gmbh springs, and if not, whether we will ever be able to get the quattro GmbH here. Car Magazine quoted quattro GmbH's technical director as saying their suspension package was developed at the 'Ring. Audi US Product manager was quoted in the Quattro Quarterly saying quuator GmbH accessories would be coming in to the US this years, including suspensions. Maybe the Eurosports are what he's talking about, but maybe they aren't.
