I remember that there was a set of springs that Audi would not make warranty issues over. I believe that they were the springs on ClairParts web site but the don't name the manufacturer. Was it the Audi Eurosport springs ... but who makes them?

from what I understand, are the stock sport springs in europe and are made for audi. They are a part you can order through the parts dept. and hence are an audi warranty thing as an official accesory.
they are probably made by eibach for audi.

so the eurosport springs hodl the car lower than the sport and non sport... people have had luck matching the sport shocks and the eurosport springs... I don't know about the non-sport shocks and the eurosport springs. I don't know if the shocks are different on the sports/non-sports.
but shocks that don't match the springs will give you a bouncy ride, as the shocks try to dampen out the reaction of the springs that they weren't designed for.
the drop over non-sport will be noticeable.

There have been numerous posts about Bistein shocks on FWD cars lately. It appears that they are not height adjustable, and when installed with H&R or Eibach (similar to Eurosports), there is no difference in rear ride height. For quattro equipped models, the Bilsteins have a height adjustment, which, when set at it's lowest setting, results in a full inch drop from the factory sport set up.
Regarding the efficacy of standard shocks and sport shocks with the Eurosport springs...the standard shocks are too weak, and you will get some bounce which will worsen over the 5K miles. With regard to the sport shocks, many here have used them with the Eurosport springs, however there really aren't enough people that have logged a significant number of miles with this combination. These springs were offered as and accessory this spring. It is believed by some that the factory sport shocks will wear out with the Eurosports...resulting in a bouncy ride after some time.
In your case, I would not use the standard sport shocks with the Eurosport springs...you will have to pay labor and parts to upgrade the shocks, most likely within one year. You're better off doing it now.
