Road grime or wearing low?
I have @15k miles on it, mostly stop and go driving.
Brakes squeak, not all the time but @50% of the time.
I'll probably bring it in to the dealer soon to have them looked at but I thought that the A4s had a wear sensor that would indicate brake replacement (on the console)?
Do they normally squeak when it is getting close to replacement as well?

I've had previous cars (non-Audi) squeak sometimes when there may be some road grime stuck in there...usually works its way out over a week or so.
When in doubt, take it in. I agree with the pain sometimes to drop off the car for something routine (that they won't cover)

and tires. With a disclaimer of: any parts that can be 100% proven to need to be replaced due to aftermarket parts will not be covered under warranty.
If your dealer is saying "no" to replacing pads or rotors, then call AoA. They're covered for 4 years/50k miles (which ever comes first) for the '01 A4.
As far as the noise(s) you're hearing, they're most likely normal. The pads are so close to the rotors that sometimes a little piece of the pad will get stuck in there and squeek. As long as you still have pad left, keep stopping with them. I know the law in PA is that they need to be replaced at 2mm, but are legal at 3mm.

on the front of my car at 32,000 miles. I complained three different times that they squeeked. This was all covered under war. My dealer is one of the best i've ever delt with

I called dealer, they said most likely it is road grime (brake dust) or the brakes sometimes get a 'glaze' on them. They suggested going to a parking lot, drive around slowly and brake hard..that should break up the glaze.
