Default STEAMING MAD: all the oil has disappeared from my engine again...

no leaks, no smoke, nothing. $2,500 worth of work, and a month later and I have no oil again. I'm steaming pissed! What the hell is wrong with my car!

Default

They did head work, did they ever do a leakdown test? It could be the rings.

Default they did everything, and replaced rings and gaskets.....

with all the work in the last 6 months, my engine is practically new. 2 weeks in the shop, and they still can't fix it right.

Default I would pay to have it checked out by a different shop

that much oil loss should be easily checked.

Exactly. You can't lose 5 quarts of oil with no drips, and no smoke.

Default I hear ya, but that oil is gone, no smoke, no leaks. Either my car loves to eat oil...

or some audi hater is draining my car once a month

Default oil doesn't just dissapear

I've had two cars over the years that went through astounding amounts of oil without ever seeing it. It both vehicles it was the rings. You'd be amazed at how much oil you can burn without ever seeing it out of the tailpipe. Pull the plugs and see if they are oil fouled. When they did the headwork did they have the heads and block checked for cracks?

Default Yep - with the new ignition systems you get better burning

in the old days the plugs would get fouled - but that is not the case any more.

Default STOP driving!! (until problem is FIXED)..

I can't believe your actually driving it like it is. Don't U get an indicator in your dash alerting U that no oil is in your vehicle?? Go back to the shop and chew those F6ckers up!

Default there was one fouled plug a month ago, and it was replaced....

wouldn't think they would find cracks if they ripped the bastard apart? if not, they have tunnel vision when they do repairs in my opinion!
