But you can easily plug a vac gauge to the FPR to do a quick check anyway.
How about grab a meter to check wiring from MAF to ECU? Could be loose or bad wiring.
Any comments from the OBD forum?

to it's final destination. On the TT's, the most susceptible wiring is the one to the ignition coils. The heat surrounding the area makes the insulation brittle resulting in exposed wiring. The wire connectors (moisture and contamination) are another suspect.
Hope you find it though. I hate intermittent problems - took me months to find out my N75 on the TT was failing only with elevated temps. I had to dunk the thing in hot water to confirm my theories.
