Default Still having problems finding the low boost problem on friends 99 1.8t A4......

We logged the car today and everything seems to be working but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. The car has a speed tuning chip that is supposed to boost 16-18psi, we just put a gauge in and it was boosting 11psi max one day and the next was down to 7-8psi. We checked all boost hoses and vaccume lines and they were all fine. No signs of boost leaks. At 5K rpms and WOT the N75 was at around 85% and maf was around 105 g/s. There was one code in the system 18010 Power supply terminal 30 Voltage to low. I reset the code with no change and it didn't come back. We unplugged the MAF and there was no change, still max 7-8psi. Any help would be great, I'm running out of things to check. Thanks,

Elijah

1) test bpv, 2) pressure test the intake, 3) try another N75F, 4) try another turbo

Default I replaced the BPV with a good one, switched the N75 with a known good one, we pressure tested the..

turbo down to TB hose with no leaks, the turbo shaft spins free with no shaft play. Can you pressure test the whole system on this car like you can with the 2.7tt? There is no audible boost leak at all under boost with head out the window. Thanks,

Elijah

Yes, you should pressurize the manifold too. Just leave the TB hose on, only test to 10 psi.

Pull inlet hose, take a look at the compressor blades, check for shaft play. Make sure spins freely.
