Default Still problems with running a test pipe?

Are people still having problems running test pipes? I know there is a problem with the 02 sensor, but has that been fixed?

I should upgrade to a HFC or a Test Pipe soon so any information would help. How much louder does the test pipe make the car?

Thanks,

Matt

Default Getting a CEL for the 2nd o2 sensor is not going to hurt the car

The test pipe will making the car a little louder but not that much.

Default If he goes from a stock cat to the test pipe the difference in volume will be...

Fairly significant. But in my experience it's not a bad thing. And yeah, the CE light is something we all learn to live with. No biggie.

Default I have a test pipe with my T28...

second CEL is just cosmetic, and i will find an emulator to wire into the 2nd O2 line.

Sound wise its not much louder than stock cat. I went from a Borla/oem cat to a milltek/test pipe. The sound got deeper, and pretty. Nice thing about the T28 kit is you get that intake sound as well, so if there is droning, i don't notice it.

Power was significant. I have OneEight's test pipe. I went from spool up at 3500 rpm to spool up at 3000 rpm. Granted that was between both the test pipe and bigger exhaust, but 500rpm drop in spool in nice...and now 5-7k screams.

Id recommend either OneEighth's HFC or test pipe...good stuff. You will be happy with the performance boost, the lower boost onset, and the sound really is nice.

Cheers,
Sameer

Default 2 Questions about your test pipe

Will it fit up to the stock Downpipe? I just have a supersprint exhaust and that only replaces the middle plumbing + muffler.

Where did you buy it and how much?

Thanks for the info
