Ah, the age old question.
Times vary per year for the B5, as the 2.8 made 170HP in 96/97, due to the 12v head. The 30v in 98 and later makes 190HP. The 1.8T made 150HP up 'till somewheres around the 2001 year (not sure) The last B5 1.8T put out 170HP, I think?
It'd be interesting to see a 12v vs. a 2001 1.8T.

1.8t chipped is just about = to a 2.8 chipped, both manuals.
although, comparing a modded turbo car to a naturally aspirated car is a little unfair, since the turbo makes such nice fat torque.
