Is it just me or are these speakers crap! Anyone relaced them? Can u get a 5 1/4" in the front doors without mods? Getting tired of no volume, no bass, crackling, tinny sound!

The stock system is pretty lame, but can easily be upgraded for cheap. Have an 8-inch subwoofer installed in the center of the deck behind the rear seats, powered by an amp installed on the underside of the deck. Leave the rest of the system as is. For about $350, and giving up zero usable trunk space, you'll have a very nice sounding system.

The crap resides in the headunit. Either add a sub and turn the bass down on the rest of the speakers or replace the headunit and/or speakers. I have to say i added a 10" and it sounds very nice..
