Strange brake light out warning. Anyone ever seen this?
My brake light bulb finally died on me. I got an error message on the trip computer that said, "brake light." I replaced the bulb, and the brake lights now work. However, any time I hit the brake pedal now, I get a generic warning message that says a bulb is out. it looks like a light bulb with an X over it. I hit the brakes, the warning comes on a couple seconds later, then goes away after myabe ten seconds or so. All of my lights work fine, but this new, different warning is getting annoying any time I hit the brakes. Yes, I checked the owner's manual.
Anyone ever see this? What could it be? I think it's very unlikey it is NOT related to the bulb change I made, but everything seems to work just fine.

I would guess maybe you put the bulb in wrong, but if you do get brake lights, that shouldn't be it
I once put a brake light bulb in 180 degrees the wrong way and was getting reversed functionality out of the parking light/brake light
