Strange noise from (suspension?)
Well recently I have started to notice a strange noise when I hit small bumps in my car. I don't know whether to call it a thunk or a poppin noise, but it seems like it resonates through the whole cabin which makes it VERY hard to localize. It doesnt seem to do this if I hit a bump while turning, only in straight aways. I had it up on a lift yesterday, and checked to see if wheels were loose, or if I saw any visible damage, but did not. Any ideas? hmmm

From the front?
It could be many things, likely suspension related, but it also might be an engine mount. They're liquid filled, and when they start leaking...apparently you can get some clunking noises. I have exactly the problem you describe...a reverberation of the "clunk" from the right front (passenger side motor mount?). Really easy to hear/feel when you hit say a manhole cover that's sunken a few inches down....at about 40mph. I'm hoping it's the mount, and will know as soon as I order the part and put it in ;-) Good luck

Re: From the front?
Actually I have no clue where its from, like I said it reverberates through the whole cabin, so finding out where is damn near impossible unless you can hear it from the outside which I havn't checked yet. I used to think it was the front, then switched to the back, now I"m thinking the front again, but to be honest I'm not 100% sure. If i had my guess it would be that its from the Front passenger side, but no guarentees.

I had the same thing...more
Mine came from the front lower right and sometimes left side. Turnout that it was my brake pad rattling within the caliper. If i made a fist and hit the out sidewall of the tire, from outside the car while stopped , you could easily hear the pad. Give yours a thunk and see if that is the problem. I put new rotors and pads on and it took care of the problem. It worked out because at the time my old rotors looked like soup bowls.
