Ok, I am going to really sound like a newbie here..
Car cleaning questions... (FYI: I have a new 2001 2.8 QMS Santorin Blue/Onyx leather)
What do you use to clean the dash? What is the material on the dash?
What do you use to clean the seats (leather)? This is my first car with leather..want to treat it well.![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
What do you use to clean the flat black plastic (on the doors around the window switches)?
Any suggestions in general would be great!
Thanks ahead of time!
Sorry for the lame questions. New car and I really want to treat it right from the start.

welcome, Allyson! Where ya from? If you're in Cali, Texas, or the tri-state area, I think you'll find frequent meets & such with other forum members. There are, of course, other areas with active members, but from my point of view, these seem to be the most frequent.

Many people here swear by this stuff, and it does work, however, it does leave behind a shiny/greasy residue that some (you) may object to. Don't coat the whole car in this stuff, cuz you'll have a hell of a time removing it if you find it objectionable. HDClown asked a bunch o folks in the detailing forum about a month ago, what their recommended products are. He got some GREAT responses! Browse through the detailing forum for some great advice on practically everything you could need. The forum moves very slowly (unlike this one), so one months worth of posts should be condensed into 5 pages of threads (unlike here...1 month=1,500 pages).

I use this name for everything...too lazy to remember multiple applications.
I live in California.. Santa Barbara to be exact.
I am learning a lot from this forum..you guys are great! I work with cars, but mostly structures ( I work for an expert witness in automotive safety engineering)..which isn't really applicable to daily driving.![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Thanks for all the help!
