Anybody replace their subframe bushings? How much of a PITA is it? Can I do it myself in my garage or do I need a shop to do this because they need to be pressed in. Mine have obviously aged and the rubber has shrunk so my front passenger side will pop out when I jack the car. I might as well do the front and rears.
thanks in advance for you input...

I've done the control arm bushings in teh back and had to use a press to put them in. Used a socket and a vise to take them apart. I just did the control arms and the rear trailing arm bushes on the jetta. Didn't use a press , but almost wrecked my vise pushing them back in. I bought a 12 ton press from harbor freight for $99. haven't used it yet but I think I should have enstead of my vise would have been alot easier. yeah its a PITA!!

Well thanks old96a4 but I meant the subframe bushings...not the control arm bushings...I replaced the control arms and bought the whole assembly so I wouldn't have to mess with the bushings...the pinchbolt was frustrating enough! But I can't do that as easily with the subframe.
