On the subject of suspension design...why aren't shocks designed the other way around?

Wish I could tell ya.


But my vague understanding had to do with the operation of the foot valve in the twin tube design along with the relatively low pressure results in a bunch of bubbles forming in the valve, making it less than ideal operation.

Monotubes don't have that problem due to the floater, and the higher pressure gas.
