Default Subwoofer mounting options

I have a 12" Alpine Type-R in a Q-logic box. When I put it in last winter, I just made some quick brackets, that I screwed into the front of the box and then screwed that into the floor board. The box has never shifted, but the mounting is, well, ghetto.

I need to be able to remove the sub from time to time, so I can't do something permanent. I have some ideas kicking around but I wanted to see if anyone had input on this or ideas.

Default I have the exact same setup

I have used the Extreme Velcro on the bottom of it, and it rests directly on the trunk mat. I've had no problems with it shifting, even when cornering hard.
I'm in the process of making a custom sub enclosure for it now and doing away with the box.

Default Velcro. But if you ever need a quick, cheap fix...

When I've had velcro fail on me, I've actually strapped down my sub with a one ft. bungie chord using the hooks for the cargo net. You can't use the cargo net anyway with the sub in the way, and it very effectively holds the sub in place, even under aggressive cornering. A dark-colored bungie is not that noticable either, and it's very easy to remove the whole setup.

It is as you say, a little ghetto, but then again so is a 12" sub in the trunk of an Audi.

Default I've seen pics of brackets

That someone made, which connect to the main tie-down bolts. I'm thinking of doing something like that, because the velcro+screw thing isn't up to par.

Thanks anyway for your input though.

Default I use a 34" Versa Strap (Home Depot) attached to the cargo net brackets....

securing the box against the rear seatback. Versa Strap doesn't have as much play as bungee cord. I used to use bungee cord alone, but that wasn't sufficient to keep the box down during hard cornering. (I have a 12" in a Q-logic also.) And, there is NOTHING ghetto about a 12" sub in an Audi.
