Subwoofer options...
I just got a new Panasonic head unit installed professionally and have noticed that the replacement speakers are lacking a lot of bass that I previously had in my stock setup ('98 delta HU). I'm guessing this is typical and would like to add a subwoofer. I don't want anything major at all, I just want to enhance the bass (I really don't get **** now). What should I expect to spend $$ and should I have this done professionally also? I looking to spend very little as a $300 head unit turning into >$500 after installation and "required" replacement speakers (because of Audi's amp built into the rear speakers). Any suggestions would be helpful. TIA

I would get the JL Powerwedge if you can find it. It's a small sub box with 2 10in. subs. I have it in my ride and it sounds awesome. I just got that and a 360W MTX 2-channel amp. The guys at Good Guys hooked the amp up and I was ready to go. $200 for the subs, $280 for the amp, and monster sub cable. You could probably do it yourself pretty easily with the new head unit you got. Just run the sub cable from the subs to the amp. and run the audio cables from the amp to the Panasonic. The only reason I had them do it was the hookup of the amp. to the car's battery. I didn't want to mess with that. Hope that helps.
